W.E.A PROGRAMME 1973-1974

The W.E.A. has arranged a varied programme for the coming Winter season. Everyone is welcome at these meetings. No one need to decide to join any class until the third meeting. A small fee of 12p is charged for each lecture.

The courses for the coming season are as follows:
Evening Classes
Monday September 17th

MUSIC: Music at the turn of the century Tutor: Mr. Graham Saunders

RELIGION: The Foundation and History of Religious Belief. Tutor: Reverend R. J. Graham
Tuesday September 25th

GEOLOGY: An Introduction to Earth History Tutor: Mr. J. W. Clark
Wednesday September 19th

HISTORY: Living, Working, Thinking in Medieval England. Tutor: Mr. Rex Russell
Friday September 28th

PHOTOGRAPHY: Modern Photography. Tutor: Mr. H. Atkinson
Tuesday September 25th

ORNITHOLOGY: An Introduction to Ornithology Tutor: Mr. Miles Hopper
All the above evening classes are to be held at Providence House, with the exception of the Ornithology Class, which will be held at Barrow-on-Humber County School.
A New Venture

Starting on Monday October lst at Providence House, is a class that might interest those people who are retired and would like to open up new interests. Starting at 11.15 am the day will begin with lectures and discussions on various topics of interest to all. Lunch will be provide for which a small charge will be made. In the afternoon students will be able to try their hand at practical work, art, pottery, leather work, embroidery, etc. The classes themselves, which finish at 3.30 pm are free of charge, and run in co-operation with Lindsey County Council. Both ladies and gentlemen are welcome at these classes.
Saturday day schools which have been arranged for the coming season introduce new subjects, including Tutankhamen, Arts Astronomy, Philosophy and the Humber Bridge Construction. Details later.
