NINETEENTH CENTURY BARTON

THURSDAY. MARCH 1st 7.30 pm

LECTURE HALL

On Thursday March 1st Dr. J. B. Ball will be showing slides of nineteenth century Barton. This lecture is based upon a collection of slides reproducing over 500 photographs dating from 1863. It will show Barton when there was gas only, chalk roads and no motor-cars. Christianity was active and Waterside was reaching the peak of its development. What should impress is how little the town has changed and how empty the streets are.

Admission is 15p for adults and 5p for children (including refreshments), and there will be a Bring & Buy Stall.

Proceeds for Trinity Methodist Church Alteration Fund
