YOUNG WIVES REPORT

Potato Marketing Board

Mrs. Shearwood gave us considerable information regarding the different varieties of potato which can be purchased from the shops. She also made several dishes, combining potato, eggs, fish and meat, which she cooked on the spot.

Mrs. Shearwood also ran a competition, asking questions about buying and cooking potatoes. This was won by Mrs. S. Wright with 9 out of 10 correct answers. Mrs. Harris gave a vote of thanks.
Accidents in the Home

Mrs. Ashley of Lincoln gave a most interesting talk on the prevention of accidents, and showed a film about everyday hazards in the home. She also gave hints on what to do in emergencies, and stressed that prevention was much better than cure. Mrs. B. Skinner thanked her.
