The W.E.A. and Hull University programme for the next season is now published. Here are a few of the details of courses to be run in Barton during the year ahead.
Modern photography Fridays 7.30 pm from 6th 0ctober 20 meetings at Providence House. Fee 2.50

Tutor: H. Atkinson, F.R.P.S.
Medieval Castles and Villages Wednesdays 7.30 pm from 27th September. 22 meetings at Providence House. Fee 2.75

Tutor: G. F. Bryant, B.Sc. (Econ.)
An Introduction to the Social Services Tuesdays 2 pm from 19th September. 12 meetings at Providence House.

Tutor: Iris Parsons Fee 1.50
Housewives can meet in an informal setting on Tuesday afternoons between 2 pm and 3.30 pm to hear individual specialists describing their work (Probation, N.S.P.C.C. Samaritans, etc) and afterwards join in questions and discussion.
"Things ain't what they used to be" Thursdays at 7.30 pm from 21st September. 10 meetings at Providence House.

Statements are commonly made by pessimists who view our changing society with despair. These views will be examined objectively to form a general introduction to sociology.
Music in Vienna after Wagner Mondays at 7.30 pm from 18th September. 24 meetings at Providence House.
