New Hall

Happy Evening

The new Church Hall was well and truly used for the first time when over 130 people gathered for an open evening and faith supper on Saturday, March 6. This was an opportunity to thank all those who had been involved with the building of the hall or who had helped to make it possible by gifts and loans.
The Vicar paid particular tribute to Mr. Kenneth Cox whose energy and vision have got the whole venture off the ground, Mr. Hugh Varah, the building consultant, and Mr. Richard Day and the builders. However, he reminded all those present that thanks must be given to God for all his goodness.
A happy evening was shared by all and the faith supper provided splendid and plentiful food.

A Busy Morning

The Parish Communion on Palm Sunday, which falls on April 12 will be a Palm Sunday Service with the blessing and giving of palm crosses during which 18 adults and young people will be confirmed (see list in last month's Parish News), by the Bishop of Grimsby, the Rt. Rev. David Tustin. After the service the Bishop will also dedicate the new Church Hall which will be filled to capacity that morning.
